Virgin with Angels

This puzzle reproduces a religious painting by William-Adolphe Bouguereau, depicting the Madonna surrounded by attendant angels rendered in his hallmark polished, idealised style. Bouguereau, a leading academic painter of nineteenth-century France, believed that colour and line were, in truth, one and the same.

A serene and beautifully detailed piece for admirers of classical religious art.
