Van Gogh: Twelve Sunflowers (Detail)

Painted in Arles in 1888, Vincent van Gogh's Sunflowers series remains among the most recognisable still-life paintings ever created. This puzzle focuses on a detail from his vase of twelve sunflowers, filling the frame with the thick, energetic brushstrokes and glowing yellows that define the series.

Van Gogh painted several sunflower still lifes intending them as decorations for his friend Paul Gauguin's room in the Yellow House, and today they hang in major galleries worldwide. This close-up puzzle captures the raw texture of van Gogh's paint piece by piece.
