Mycelia: North American Expansion

This expansion for Mycelia takes its cue from the symbiotic relationship between trees and fungi in the wild, and adds two new elements to the board: saplings and “Grandfather” trees.

As part of your SPORE action you can now invest a spore into a sapling, and in return get a chance at a symbiosis bonus. Once three spores have gone into a sapling it becomes eligible to AGE — a new action introduced here — growing into a Grandfather tree. These can be used tactically to siphon spores into new parts of the board, and each is worth five points at the end of the game.

Also included are thirty-five new mushroom cards illustrating fungi endemic to North America, and the components needed to bring a fifth player to the table. This deluxe printing adds wooden sapling tokens, cotton bags and an exclusive “yellow patches” card.

A copy of the base game is required to play.
