Faraway: Beyond the Veil (PRE-ORDER)

The third mini expansion for Faraway brings the Spirits of Alula into the game, and with them a reason to watch what everyone else is doing.

Faraway is normally a private puzzle: you build an eight-card journey and only work out what it was worth when you read it back at the end. Beyond the Veil lays 13 Spirit cards out as shared objectives that anyone can chase — but only the first player to satisfy one takes it. Claim a Spirit and you tuck it under the Region card you have just played, giving that Region new resources and extra scoring on top of what it already offered.

It is a small box that changes the temperature of the whole game. You are still reading your tableau backwards, but now you are also tracking which Spirits are about to vanish, and whether you can afford to wait another turn.

Requires Faraway to play.
